Privacy Policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Mercer MotorWorks, Inc. handles information associated with mercermotorworks.org. For privacy questions or requests, contact james@mercermotorworks.org.
2. Information you choose to share
The pilot and contact forms prepare an email draft using the information you enter: your name, work email, company, selected role or topic, and message or equipment description. Form fields are not sent to a website backend. Information is shared with us only when you send the email using your email provider. Please do not include sensitive personal information or confidential equipment data.
3. Development update requests
The development updates form prepares an opt-in request by email. If you send it, we may use the address you provide to share Mercer Monitor development and pilot updates. You may withdraw your request at any time by replying or emailing us. Update frequency and product timing are not guaranteed.
4. Interactive preview and local storage
The platform preview uses illustrative data. CSV files selected in the preview are read in your browser and are not uploaded by this website. Maintenance journal notes are stored in this browser using local storage under the key mercer-monitor-journal-v1. They remain until cleared through the preview, removed in browser settings, or otherwise deleted by your browser. Avoid entering personal, sensitive, or confidential information into the demo. Downloaded reports remain wherever you choose to save them.
5. Technical information and cookies
This website does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, third-party fonts, or tracking cookies. The hosting and network providers may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser details, requested URLs, and access times, to deliver and protect the site. Your email provider processes email drafts and sent messages according to its own policies.
6. Why we use information
We use information you send to respond to inquiries, evaluate potential pilot fit, discuss product development, provide requested updates, and address security or legal obligations. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on your consent, steps requested before entering an agreement, our legitimate interest in handling business inquiries, or legal obligations, as appropriate.
7. Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. Business correspondence may be processed by providers needed to operate email and business communications, or disclosed where legally required. We retain correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed for the inquiry, pilot discussion, requested updates, or applicable obligations. You can ask us to delete information or stop updates. We may need to keep limited records where required by law.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email james@mercermotorworks.org to make a request; we may need to verify your identity. You may also contact your local privacy regulator where applicable.
9. Security and international communications
We aim to handle correspondence responsibly, but no internet or email transmission can be guaranteed secure. Providers may process information in other countries. Any applicable international transfer requirements must be addressed for the relevant processing. Do not send sensitive information through the public inquiry forms or ordinary email.
10. Children and policy changes
This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request children’s personal information. We may update this policy as the website and product develop. The date below identifies the current version. Separate privacy information and terms would be provided for any future hosted product or agreed pilot.
